Coastal

A rugged stone jetty cuts straight through the deep blue ocean, pointing toward a serene gradient of twilight colors on the distant horizon.

Stone Walkway to the Sea

The locals call this jetty the "spine of the inlet," a man-made fracture in the endless movement of the Atlantic. During the day, it's a chaotic stretch of crashing waves, fishermen swapping stories, and tourists testing their balance on the slippery, sun-baked boulders. But if you wait until the exact moment the sun slips below the land behind you, the ocean holds its breath. This shot captures that fleeting, twenty-minute window of civil twilight—often called the "belt of Venus." As the harsh daylight fades, the sky softens into a gradient of pastel pinks and deep lavenders, mirroring the cold serenity of the water below. Standing at the edge of these dark, ancient-looking rocks, the rest of the world falls away. There are no sounds but the rhythmic, gentle lapping of the tide against the stone and the quiet realization of just how vast, beautiful, and beautifully still the edge of the world can be.
